Lesson: I Want You
Clocking in at seven minutes and forty four seconds, "I Want You (She's So Heavy)", is the longest song in the Beatles catalog."Revolution 9" is the longest running track, but it's more of a avant-garde, sound collage, than a proper song. Concluding side one of Abbey Road, it's abrupt ending, usually followed by the phonograph needle automatically lifting, begged you to run over to the turntable to check if something was awry. These days with CD's and mp3's, the ending is equally as jarring, and we are left hanging on an augmented V chord, still wondering what happened?
