Tones

As a pioneer in digital modeling technology, Line 6 is at the forefront of creating killer tones to match hundreds of artists and any style of guitar. As a GuitarPort member, you get instant access to hundreds of artist-specific tones that match the recordings available on GuitarPort. Plus, our interface shows you how these tones were created. You can actually see the amp and cab model, effects, and settings for each tone. Pretty cool.

It’s so easy to access the tones once you are using the service. Our guitar-processing interface brilliantly modeled after immortal classic and modern pedals, and rack effect units, automatically loads the tones for a downloaded lesson or track. If your guitar is connected to your computer with a Line 6 USB interface, with the click of a mouse it will change your guitar sound according to the tone settings so you get the perfect dialed in tone.

Even though we've precisely dialed in the unique guitar tones for every song, you have total flexibility to tweak all the settings for a whole new sound.

Amplifier Settings *

We've modeled dozens of popular and classic amps and cabs used by top artists. Interact with them just like you would a real amplifier, by adjusting volume, drive, bass and treble right on your computer screen.

Pedalboard Settings *

Each of the small icons across the middle here is a pedal effect – for example, Gate, Wah, Stomp, Compressor, EQ, Modulation, etc. You can turn them on and off and adjust them right on your computer screen.

Save and Share Tones

If you are into tweaking and saving your own tones, then you'll enjoy the Tone Locker, which allows you to save and share your awesome sounds with other GuitarPort Online users.

Remember, each song available on GuitarPort has song-specific tones – for rhythm and lead, and single coil and humbucker versions.
